Project overview
Mercer Row required substantial work behind the finished surfaces. The project involved structural reinforcement, major mechanical replacement, and a complete reorganization of the main living level.
The challenge
Existing framing conditions were inconsistent and several earlier alterations complicated the demolition and planning process. The construction sequence needed to remain flexible without losing control of schedule or finish quality.
Our approach
Ironwood documented existing conditions as demolition progressed and coordinated structural decisions before new framing moved forward. The team prioritized resolving hidden conditions early so finish work could proceed without repeated disruption.

Completed result
The work should feel resolved, not simply finished.
The renovated home now functions as a coherent modern residence while retaining the proportions and exterior character of the original structure.
